What You’ll Do
Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the IHBT Therapeutic Behavioral Support (TBS) Staff will provide culturally competent and trauma informed TBS services to individuals and/or families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situation, mental health and/or substance use concerns. The therapist will provide comprehensive assessments, therapy, consultation/case management and make appropriate referrals as needed.
The IHBT TBS staff will meet all requirements of IHBT fidelity best practices especially as it relates to trauma-informed behavioral health treatment array; culturally and linguistically appropriate services and standards and professional training and development

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and evidence based individual and family interventions to youth and families
- Formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the youth, family members and your clinical team
- Work collaboratively with external and intra-agency practitioners, parents and other supports to achieve best outcomes for clients and families using the IHBT fidelity model
- Complete and maintain clinical documentation within agency set timeframes
- Participate in interdisciplinary clinical/administrative team meetings
- Conceptualize mental health, behavioral and substance use disorders in a manner that incorporates knowledge of growth and development in youth and adults.
- Assess and manage risk on an ongoing basis and adjust level of care and recommendations as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention consultation in times of emergencies for coordination and assistance in crisis management and stabilization as needed. This position will require on call availability after traditional business hours and may require services to be provided outside normal business hours
- Adhere to all IHBT Fidelity requirements at the Best Practices level
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least a high school diploma -Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, child development or related field from an accredited college or institution is preferred
- Minimum four years of experience in a human service related field.
- All employees who provide mental health services shall be qualified to provide those services according to Chapter 5122-23 of the administrative code.
- Ancillary training/certifications: CPR, First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, IHBT Fidelity training
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently
- Ability to navigate computer software include Microsoft Word and agency ECR, CareLogic
- Ability to engage clients and establish ongoing relationships
- Skills associated with group facilitation and group member interaction
